According to the recommendation of the World Health Organization, washing our hands frequently and thoroughly is one of the most effective practices (besides staying at home) in preventing the transmission of the coronavirus. Due to the increased demand, one can sell practically anything remotely connected to sanitizing… but be careful!
Not all (hand) sanitizers are effective!
In the first week of April, the accredited Food and Chemical Laboratory of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Hungary (ITM) tested a total of 69 antibacterial sanitizers (hand sanitizers and surface disinfectants, soaps and body washes). In its announcement, the ITM reported that 14 of the tested products did not fully perform the effects provided on their label, and no antibacterial effect could be verified in the case of two products. However, we have good news for the fans of BradoLife:
Out of BradoLife products, the popular hand sanitizer gel and the antibacterial body wash passed the test flawlessly!
Antibacterial ≠ antiviral
Please note, that it was the bactericidal and fungicidal effect that the ITM test examined, thus antibacterial and antimycotic capacities were in focus, not antiviral ones. Besides these two tested capacities, BradoLife hand sanitizer products have an antiviral effect too!
Although consumer protection agencies keep fighting against unfair commercial practices, your own safety is something you can promote yourself by buying only well-known products from reliable retailers.
